The Federal Reserve raised its benchmark interest rate last week by 25 basis points to a target range of 3.75% to 4.00%. This is the first rate hike since July 2023, driven by sticky inflation and rising global energy costs.

This concludes the 2025-2026 Mortgage Executive Board meetings where experienced Home Lending Advisors were selected nationally to share our ideas on innovative strategies and how we move forward as one of the largest, most respected full-service financial institutions in the world. I am so happy to have been 1 of 136 CHLAs selected to represent our team. 16 Home lending advisors total came together quarterly and gave feedback to leadership on what works, what doesn’t and what is best for our customers. The amazing thing is that our feedback was appreciated and implemented and that’s how we stay number one in our industry. I will truly miss this group and look forward to hearing the ideas for the next few chosen to help trailblazer our home lending team for 26-27 . It’s one thing to hear about how great our leadership team is and it’s another thing to witness it on a day-to-day basis. I’m so proud to be a part of a firm that listens to its employees.
