🎉 What a GREAT turnout today for our first Tiftarea Board of REALTORS® meeting after our summer break! 🎉
And wow… today was a BIG one! 🙌

📣 We kicked things off with an exciting RPAC Auction and auctioned off some amazing goodies! A HUGE thank‑you to all our brokerages and affiliate members who donated items and baskets. Your support means everything to our association. 💙🧺✨

This week, we’re shining a spotlight on Julie Smith, a dedicated REALTOR® and the Mayor of Tifton — someone who brings passion, purpose, and heart to everything she does. 💙 From City Hall to the closing table, Julie is constantly working to strengthen our community, support local growth, and help families find their place to call home. 🏡✨

Tifton has a Georgia Exceptional Main Street designation, and the residential historic district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

In the 10 years that Julie Smith has served as Tifton’s mayor, she says she’s seen a lot of growth and development, yet “we’ve kept our personality, a small town that’s growing.”

The key, she says, is smart growth. “Not just willy-nilly growth for growth’s sake. … I want Tifton to stay on a path of excellence.”

What a fantastic evening at the 2026 Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce Business Expo! 🎉🏡 We loved connecting with so many incredible local businesses, organizations, and community members—it’s always inspiring to see our community come together!

As April is Fair Housing Month, we were especially proud to highlight the importance of the Fair Housing Act and what it means for both our community and our members. 🤝 Fair housing ensures that everyone has equal access to housing opportunities, free from discrimination.

For REALTORS®, this is more than a law—it’s a daily commitment. It means providing equal professional service to every client, advocating for access to housing, and helping build a community where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued. ❤️🏠 Strong communities start with fair and equal access to housing, and we are proud to stand behind that mission.
