Mondays with Luna

Luna wants to dedicated this Monday to the Oklahoma German Shepherd Rescue, Inc.

She knows how important fosters and volunteers are.

The rescue is on intake hold until they get more fosters and pay off some debt. There are currently 58 dogs in the rescues care and the rescue has a bill of around 44K over the last 2 1/2 months.

Luna is asking everyone who is reading this to give $5 to help the rescue. If everyone who saw this gave $5 we could raise $5K for the rescue.

Please read the post for more information.

Luna and the other dogs appreciate it.

The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on
Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City,
in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union. The Central Labor Union had its second Labor Day just a year later, on September 5, 1883.

In 1884 the first Monday in September was selected as the holiday, as originally proposed. The Central Labor Union urged similar organizations in other cities to follow the example of New York and hold a "workingmen's holiday". The idea spread, and in 1884 Labor Day was made an official federal holiday.

Enjoy a day off!

Luna had a good week. It was another hot week and she is getting tired of the heat. The only time she wants to get out is when she walks with her friends weekly. She does enjoy car rides just to get out of the house.

She would like to remind everyone that today is the last day of her birthday month and to sign up for sold out TU vs OSU football game. The link is below.

The other thing she would like you to do is like the Oklahoma German Shepherd Rescue, Inc. page. The are trying to get to 27K followers today.
