One of the best things that can come from being a Realtor is when your clients become friends. I represented my clients on the purchase of this property, and have now represented my friends on the sale. My friends are moving out of state, and will be terribly missed! But, they have SOLD this stunning property to a couple who love it as much as they have loved it...it would be hard not to...the property is pretty perfect! I thought about buying it myself! This one is special...one that will stick with me for a while. I love helping first time home buyers...home ownership isn't something everyone will be able to have in their lifetime. Helping veterans find and secure their first home holds a special place in my heart. For those that sacrifice so much of themselves for our country, for us, for me....the least they should have after their service concludes is a roof over their head and a safe, loving home to call their own.
We were well on our way to closing...when NWI was hit with a storm like it had never seen before. Evergreen Ave in Portage was terribly devastated. So much debris...so many trees on houses, lines down, poles down. Almost every house on the street. Almost every house...accept this one, as if God himself covered this home, like a miracle, protecting the home, returning the favor, like our Veterans protect us and others. I'm so thankful, the sellers were so thankful, my clients were so thankful. And now they get to turn this house into THEIR loving home for themselves and their children. Thankfully!

Even through all the devastation, Buyers are still looking for homes. With a lot of patience through the power loss and thus internet issues, we were able to get this property under contract.
