What does this have to do with real estate? Not much, but we are on the ground, local and thought it was worth a share because it was big news for Venice! The Army Corps of Engineers contracted Weeks Marine to handle the approximately 3 miles of beach renourishment in Venice, FL . The contract was worth ~$27.5 million and the project is now nearly complete. This is the sorting machine hooking up to the pipeline that brought sand to the beach for the bulldozers to move. We didn't get to see it run because they had some problems with the pumping barge a little over a mile away and we had to go show homes! Do you need a home close to the newly renourished beach? Let's talk! Actual time to hook up in this video was about 6 minutes.

We've been busy out there with some fantastic buyers! We placed 2 homes under contract last week. Today, we are finishing up the first inspection with Groff Inspections LLC! This is what $27.5million looks like in action. Venice beach is growing! The project spans more or less from just south of the Venice Fishing Pier to the South Jetty. There is lots of new beach is being created from sand dredged about 12 miles away.
