Northeast Iowa REALTORS® at the REALTOR® Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C. last week!

A big THANK YOU to our President Karmen Schwake, 1st Vice President Tad Ritter, RPAC Chair, Lynette Sorensen, IR & NEIR Past President Travis Bushaw and Erica Bushaw for representing Northeast Iowa REALTORS® at the REALTOR® Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C. last week!

While in our nation’s capital, they met with Iowa's congressional delegation, including Senator Chuck Grassley, Senator Joni Ernst, and staff from Representative Ashley Hinson’s office, advocating on behalf of REALTORS®, homeowners, property rights, and the communities we serve.

In addition to meeting with lawmakers, they participated in local association roundtables, exchanging ideas and best practices with REALTOR® leaders from across the country. They also gained valuable insights from industry experts and nationally recognized speakers, including NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun.

Most importantly, they invested their time—away from their families, businesses, and clients—to ensure the REALTOR® voice is heard where important decisions are being made.

Thank you, Karmen, Tad, Lynette, Travis and Erica for your leadership, dedication, and commitment to protecting and advancing the interests of property owners and the real estate industry throughout Northeast Iowa!

NEIR VOLUNTEER DAY! 💛🧡

Our crew came together to create no-sew blankets for cancer patients currently going through chemo treatments. It was a small act of love, but one we hope brings comfort, warmth, and encouragement to someone who needs it.

To anyone in our Iowa family currently battling cancer: please know you are not alone. We see you. We support you. We are standing with you.

Keep fighting. You are loved. 🎗️

We were honored to welcome the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Cedar Valley at our June Membership Meeting! We learned about the important work that the Club is doing for our youth in the Cedar Valley and heard from East High Senior, Mia Deuell, the 2026 Youth of the Year! A very impressive young woman! We were also thrilled to present a check to the Club from the proceeds of our Member Golf Outing!
