Buc-ee’s wants to open its first Iowa mega-travel center right off I-80/35 at 100th Street & Northpark Drive—but it’s not official yet!

Here is the current status:
✅ Planning Board Vote: The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended changing the 20-acre site from "mixed-use" to "corridor commercial."

⏳ What’s Still Needed: Final City Council approval for the land-use change, site rezoning, and approved building permits.

If approved, the site brings 60 fuel pumps, a 74,000 sq. ft. store, and 200+ jobs!

💬 Will you be grabbing Beaver Nuggets in Urbandale, or do you have concerns about the zoning change?

The Urbandale City Council has rejected a land use amendment for a proposed Buc-ee's travel center, citing traffic concerns and the need for further information.
