Carmelo Castle, an 18-year-old Woodville High School graduate, completed the school’s plumbing program and passed the Texas state tradesman exam.
He is now working as a second-year tradesman with Local 68 Plumbing in Beaumont while many of his peers are still deciding their next steps. “It gave me a chance to actually step up in life,” he said.
