​With temperatures already pushing past 100 degrees, I know it is tempting to cut back on watering to save on your bill. I have been seeing a dangerous trend of severe soil separation, sometimes up to 2-inch gaps between the soil and the slab and/or beam walls.

​When the clay dries out and pulls away, it threatens your home's structural integrity.

​Consider taking a few minutes every day or every other day to run a soaker hose around your foundation. A slightly higher water bill right now is infinitely cheaper than paying for major structural repairs down the road!
