Just got an email about a change in interest rates! There are a variety of "types" of rates for a variety of borrowers, so finding the one that best fits for you means you need to understand what each one requires and what they would cost on a monthly basis. After all, don't we pay attention to the monthly cost? Are you wondering what all of this could mean for you? Just reach out and I can help you connect with a lender who will be happy to talk about your options.

What do you think of when you think of me? A question we’re thinking about:

I had to make a quick trip to the mall today. As I was walking and noticing people not paying attention to where they were going I thought of an idea for those who walk head down looking at their phone. OK Apple and Android this is for you. You know how newer cars will beep when you get close to another vehicle or are about to move out of your lane? WELL what if cell phones could beep when you're about to run into a person, wall or fountain? Hmm. Maybe not. The sounds would probably be deafening.

Today is 9/11. This morning on Early Birds (a real estate mastermind group) we talked about that day in our lives. It will be in my mind forever. I was in Phoenix, AZ at a top producer event when it happened on Tuesday morning. My son was living in Hell's Kitchen in NYC on the 4th floor of a building. We were on the phone when the second plane hit. He asked me what he should do. I didn't know the answer. It still brings tears to my eyes. Being "marooned" in Phoenix was an experience for sure. The silence in the sky was so obvious. By the end of the week we could travel. I remember being in a long line waiting to check luggage. They were literally "pawing" through each suitcase. The "gentleman" in front of me was lamenting the wait. I couldn't hold my tongue (surprised??). I said to him, I don't care how long it takes to make sure every piece of luggage is safe. It will be worth it. Of course the towers weren't brought down by exploding luggage-I know. Safety should always come first. There was just a segment on 60 Minutes about the firefighters and their families who followed them into being firefighters. We take so much for granted. What others do on a daily basis to keep us safe can't be overlooked. So, who do you know who needs a call today just to say--do you remember or where were you??

Beautiful temp this morning so slider door open. Filled bird feeder. A minutes ago saw something small— butterfly? No, hummingbird! Gone in a flash. Bees are bumbling around my deck flowers too. It is August.

The other day I posted that August is National Make-a-will month. This morning I received an email from the Franklin Institute with the same topic! So. This means that you all need to get on it for sure. None of us has an "expiration date" on our sleeve so we need to plan ahead .That way our loved ones know our wishes. As a Senior Real Estate Specialist I'm always reading more about how to be prepared for whatever comes along so I can help others. Need to "de-stuff" a room or two? I have resources.

Did you know that August is National Make-a-Will month? Do you have one? Does it need to be updated? It's something to put at the top of your list.
