One of our favorite sites to date. Private putting green off the primary suite, infinity edge pool, governor’s drive with a paver inlay and border, and a par 3 out back playing 40 to 120 yards depending on the tee. What a privilege it was working with this client!

Many people have asked about the medians along FM 1187. While the City of Aledo typically maintains city medians, these medians are part of the TxDOT-controlled FM 1187 corridor and are included in the current improvement project.

Central North Construction has completed the median preparation and installed the irrigation system. Because of the extreme Texas summer heat, planting has been temporarily delayed to give the new landscaping the best chance to thrive. Plant installation is expected to resume in September.

During this pause, weeds have become more noticeable. Under the construction contract, maintaining the project area is the contractor's responsibility. We've been in contact with Central North Construction, and crews will be cleaning up the medians by the end of the week.

We've also heard your comments about the roadway itself. As part of this project, TxDOT completed diamond grinding on FM 1187, removing about a half-inch of concrete to smooth out imperfections and improve the overall ride quality. It's one more step toward delivering a road that serves our community well for years to come.

Every improvement you see is part of the Green Ribbon Grant awarded in 2023. These projects take time, but each phase brings us closer to a safer, and more attractive corridor for everyone who travels FM 1187.
