That's the lowest percentage ever recorded since NAR began tracking the data in 1981.

🏡🎉 DOUBLE UNDER CONTRACT! 🎉🏡

What a weekend!

Between graduation parties, family celebrations, and a packed schedule, we were able to get two incredible buyers under contract on their new homes.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a time to reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As a retired law enforcement officer, this day holds special meaning to me as we remember the heroes who never made it home to their families.

May we never forget their sacrifice.

This chart from Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist for the National Association of REALTORS®, shows how much home prices have increased over the past five years.

Let’s break it down locally:

Pennsylvania: 57.3%
Delaware: 60.1%
Maryland: 45.8%

That is a significant amount of equity built in a relatively short period of time.

So what does that mean for you as a homeowner?

You really have three main options when it comes to your equity:

1) Sit on it and do nothing
Let your home continue to appreciate over time while building wealth passively

2) Pull the equity and invest
Use a HELOC or refinance to put your money to work in other opportunities like real estate or business

3)Cash out and sell
Take advantage of the gains and reposition yourself whether that means upgrading, downsizing, or relocating
