The Central Ohio market is giving buyers a little more breathing room. We have more homes available than we did this time last year, homes are taking a little longer to sell, and buyers have more options to choose from.
But that doesn’t mean prices are dropping.
The median sales price reached $345,500 in August, up 2.2% from August of last year, and sellers still received an average of 99.2% of their last list price.
In other words… we’re seeing a more balanced market.
More options for buyers, while sellers are still seeing appreciation and strong results.
And that’s exactly why headlines like “the market is cooling” don’t tell the whole story.
If you’re thinking about buying or selling, understanding what’s happening in your specific price range and area makes all the difference.
