As 2025 comes to a close, I can honestly say it was an incredible journey. The year started off slow—I didn’t close a single deal in the first five months. I had a few deals fall apart, and moments like that can be discouraging, especially in this industry.

However, real estate isn’t for the faint of heart. There are constant ups and downs, and so many factors play a role in whether a deal closes or not. Resilience is everything. Instead of giving up when things got hard, I stayed consistent and kept pushing forward!

In the final seven months of 2025, I surpassed my previous year and set a new personal best. It truly doesn’t matter how you start it’s how you finish. I’m extremely grateful to every client, referral, friend, and family member who trusted me to get the job done, no matter the situation.

This year, I had the opportunity to:

- Help a client sell their home and purchase a new build (a process that took several months)
- Help a close friend buy their first home
- Help a family member purchase a home
- Assist a client in renting out their property
- Refer out-of-state clients to trusted agents and help them buy and sell homes.

Many of these experiences pushed me to learn new parts of the business. Before 2025, I had never handled out-of-state referrals or rental transactions—but I learned, adapted, and grew. The more knowledge you gain, the more people you’re able to help.

Next year marks my 5th year in real estate, and I’m excited to continue helping more families achieve their real estate goals.

The U.S. homeownership rate is expected to decline further in 2026 after hitting a six-year low earlier this year, according to a new Realtor.com forecast.

Owner-occupied households fell to 65.0% in the second quarter of 2025, the lowest level since 2019, and are projected to slip to an annual average of 64.8% in 2026, despite modest affordability gains.

"Although we expect to see the cost of buying a home decrease modestly in 2026 for the first time since 2020, rents are also expected to decline," says Realtor. com Chief Economist Danielle Hale. "This means that potential first-time homebuyers trying to decide whether to buy or rent will find that renting offers significant near-term savings in most housing markets."
