🏡 BUYERS:
Spend the money. Consider it an investment in your future. Inspections are the last place you wanna go “they’re all the same. Just pick a cheap one.” They are not all the same. You want to know as much as possible about your new house BEFORE the mold takes over. Or the roof shingles blow off. Or the smoke detector did not work on Christmas Eve.
🏡 SELLERS:
Spend the money. Consider it an investment in your future. In this market, you want to attract as many buyers as possible. They will want to know you cared enough about the house to not only maintain it while you lived there, but making sure it’s safe and ready for them when you leave. You will have fewer surprises and less stress while you’re trying to pack up your house if you do it prior to listing. Decision is yours, but trust me on this: every seller, even those with very well maintained homes, hears about something that surprises them.
You can use one you find online. Or one your mother’s neighbor used. Or one that many of my clients have used Joshua Deck - Pillar to Post Home Inspectors
