It’s that time of year for the Wisteria Arbours at Adelaide Botanic Garden! Spring has arrived, and the beautiful wisteria once again will be putting on a spectacular display, creating a magical floral canopy of cascading blooms. 💜🤍

There are two wisteria arbours, running along either side of the Mediterranean Garden. They contain three different cultivars, producing mauve and white flowers on either side and are known for their beautiful fragrance as you wander beneath the blooms.

The arbours have a surprisingly long history. Wisteria was being trained over a pergola in the area in 1917, with the wisteria pergola extended by 1919. 

♿ The Adelaide Botanic Garden is generally wheelchair accessible, with paved and bitumen paths throughout much of the Garden.

🌸 Wisteria generally flowers from around mid-September to mid-October, so now is the perfect time to visit and enjoy this gorgeous spring display.
