Ladies and gentlemen…The Tokenator has entered the chat.
My EO forum immortalised me in movie poster form on our AI and Robotics Study Tour in Beijing. Apparently I use a lot of AI. At a fairly industrial scale 😂
I'm choosing to take this as a compliment.
All laughs aside though, here's the picture as of today: I'm running every major LLM at both chat interface and developer console level. The ones that go deeper — I'm in the terminal. OpenClaw, NemoClaw, and open-source models running in local and AWS environments. Plus a stack of purpose-built tools, each doing one job really well.
And I am burning a sh*tload of tokens. That part is accurate.
But here's what nobody tells you about being serious with AI right now — the only way to know what's worth building is to build some average stuff (even wrong stuff) a few times first.
I'm running experiments at my own expense so my business doesn't have to figure this out at scale. I'm attending at least one workshop a week on average, doing study tours and peer to peer learning with founders around the globe and I'm starting to feel the geometric progress. It doesn't always show on the outside, but when you're in it every day and you're comparing to what things were like only months ago it's actually quite mind blowing.
You learn what belongs local vs cloud. What to automate vs augment with people. Which models actually earn their keep. What you can run free on open-source.
I've got R&D grants for .realestate for the truly valuable systems we're building, I'm now in a JV I'll announce soon, and building seven powers and a flywheel that overcomes constraints that were never possible before. I'm looking at the whole lot through the lens of augmentation not complete replacement of humans and it all has to add customer/enterprise value, make or save money better than other options and improve our lives in the process.
So yes. I'm The Tokenator. I'm totally ok to wear it.
This is the worst AI will ever be. Probably the worst any of us will ever be at using it. The tailwinds are that strong — I'd rather have scorch marks from the token burn than leave our team, customers and family in the dark ages.
He'll be back. For more tokens. 🤖🔥
