💛 A Strata Community of Kindness in Como 💛

We are delighted to welcome this new 22 lot residential scheme at Woodland Village Como to the Empire community!

Following a challenging period after the previous strata manager was placed into administration, owners faced the unexpected burden of a special levy. Yet, in the face of adversity, owners and tenants have come together with a shared commitment to maintaining their scheme and supporting one another.

One owner has gone above and beyond, showing extraordinary generosity by paying the special levies of other owners. ❤️ In addition many of the owners and residents have come together to manage the extensive beautiful gardens.

This is what community is all about — kindness, compassion and people looking out for one another.

We are proud to welcome a community that embodies the spirit of and look forward to supporting them into the future.

🩵 Collecting the Essentials starts TODAY!

At Empire, we’re proud to support The Essentials Collective and their annual Collecting the Essentials campaign, helping people experiencing homelessness, family violence and hardship across WA.

Today is World Homeless Day, and we’re encouraging our community to get behind this great cause by donating everyday essentials like toothpaste, shampoo and deodorant. These simple items can make a meaningful difference, helping people care for themselves and maintain dignity during difficult times.

📍 You can donate right here in Victoria Park! We’re proud to be hosting a collection box at Empire and would love our community to get involved. 🩵

🧴 Please donate new, unopened toiletries to help support those who need them most.

Last year, The Essentials Collective collected an incredible 9,907 items. Let’s help them reach more than 10,000 this year!

Congratulations to DevelopWise on an outstanding achievement — Oasis Mount Pleasant has been named the 2026 Urban development Institue of WA Awards for Excellence winner in Design! 🏆

A truly deserving recognition for a project where architecture, landscape and lifestyle come together so beautifully.

Inspired by the organic forms of the Swan River, Oasis’ distinctive curved façade creates a sense of movement and softness, while the sculptural lightwell brings natural light, greenery and a feeling of openness. The considered use of natural materials, layered planting, generous outdoor spaces and elevated rooftop amenities creates a genuine connection between the built form and its Mount Pleasant setting.

What makes Oasis particularly special is the way these design ideas translate into everyday living — from the carefully considered apartments and expansive glazing to the seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating an environment designed around wellbeing, connection and a sense of home.

🌿 Welcome Mosman Apartments! 🌿

The Empire Team is delighted to welcome the Owners & Residents of Mosman Apartments, 12 Murray Avenue, Mosman Park, to the Empire Strata Management family. 💚

And this one is pretty special… Strata Plan 54! 🎉

One of our lowest-numbered schemes, Mosman Apartments was registered in 1969 — making it a true piece of early WA strata history.

This beautiful WA original has certainly stood the test of time. Set across an impressive 2,227 sqm site, the three-storey building is home to 20 two-bedroom apartments, perfectly positioned in one of Perth’s most sought-after riverside suburbs.

The REIWA Strata Forum was great opportunity to come together with industry leaders and reflect on the future of strata management in Western Australia. 🤝

Thank you to REIWA and for bringing together a select group of strata management business owners and senior leaders for the inaugural Strata Roundtable.

The open and collaborative discussions provided valuable insight into some of the key issues and opportunities facing our industry — from profitability, staffing and compliance to sustainability, AI and the evolving future of strata management in WA. 💡

A special thank you to Natalie O'Sullivan from the Macquarie Group, for sharing valuable insights from the 2026 Strata Industry Benchmarking Report, providing an important WA perspective on the performance and direction of our sector.

Thank you also to Steve Richards from Bright Connect for an informative discussion on energy efficiency in strata and the role of embedded networks, an increasingly important consideration for the future of our buildings and communities. 🌱

Most importantly, the roundtable created a valuable opportunity for insight, collaboration and open conversation among industry peers. Sharing experiences, challenging ideas and working together is essential if we are to continue strengthening and progressing the strata sector in WA.

🍪 Commonwealth spirit was alive and well at Empire today…

🇦🇺 Tim Tam or 🇬🇧 Penguin? 🍫

What started as a simple vote quickly turned into a full-blown electoral showdown, complete with strict voting rules, attempted plate swaps, voting categories, approved auditors, remote voting and some very creative interpretations of the process.

Turns out our Strata Managers are very good at navigating governance! 😂

While the verdict may still divide the office, one thing is unanimous: it’s these little moments, plenty of laughs, and a bit of friendly competition that make our team.
