Exploring Careers at IBW! 👋📐

Some members of our team recently had the opportunity to connect with over 100 students at Seneca Polytechnic, meeting students from a variety of programs and sharing more about what a career at IBW can look like.

Alongside our career fair booth, we had an information session with students interested in learning more about IBW, the work we do, career opportunities, and some of the projects our team has worked on.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the next generation of professionals, answer questions, and share where a career in surveying, geomatics, and engineering can take you.

Could an Aerial Survey Help With Your Next Project?

As the leaves come down and before winter arrives, there is a short window when aerial imaging can provide a much clearer view of the ground, buildings, property features and terrain.

Aerial surveys can be useful if you need to:

- Map a large or difficult-to-access property
- Understand elevations, drainage and terrain before starting a project
- Capture detailed information for development, engineering or construction
- Monitor large sites or construction progress
- Investigate property features that are difficult to see from the ground
- Create 3D models, topographic maps, aerial imagery or elevation data
- Reduce survey crew time in difficult or hazardous areas

With drone imaging and LiDAR, large areas can be captured efficiently and turned into detailed survey data for planning and design.
