Here's one home maintenance job that's easy to forget:

Take a walk around your house and look UP.

Check your roof for missing or damaged shingles, look at your gutters and downspouts, and watch for tree branches getting a little too close to the house.

You don't need to climb onto the roof—a good look from the ground can sometimes tell you plenty.

A few minutes now could save you from discovering a problem during the first big fall storm.

You know it’s August in Caledon when the roadside sweet corn stands start popping up! 🌽

Wrightway Farms on Innis Lake Road has their sweet corn stand open—and it doesn’t get much more local than this.

$1 each or $10/dozen.

Grab a dozen, fire up the BBQ, add a little butter and salt and dinner is pretty much handled.

One of the things I love about Caledon: some of the best summer food is grown right down the road.
