September was a pretty slow month in the Comox Valley, and the numbers definitely reflect that.

Our local sell/list ratio was just 47%, which means more than half of the listings aren’t selling. Buyers have more choice, they’re taking their time, and pricing is becoming a much bigger factor.

But there is one interesting bit hiding underneath the numbers. Our written business was up 42% from August and was our strongest month since May.

So I wouldn’t call this a booming market by any stretch, but there are a few signs worth watching as we head further into autumn.
