BC’s real estate market remained balanced but relatively soft in August 2026. Buyer activity was improving gradually, but sales remained below historical averages while elevated inventory gave buyers more choice and negotiating power. The Lower Mainland, particularly Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, continued to lag behind several other regions. BCREA expects the recovery to be slow and gradual, with stronger sales anticipated in 2027.
