Today we celebrate you, Megan.

Not just because you’re turning 40, but because of the amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and person you are every single day.

You are the foundation of our family. The one who puts everyone else first, who leads with love, patience, compassion, and strength no matter what life throws your way.

I’ve watched you pour your heart into our family, celebrate every success, comfort every disappointment, and love Tatum and Willow with everything you have. The way you care for Willow, advocate for her, and navigate every challenge with grace and determination is nothing short of inspiring.

You’ve also been my biggest supporter, my teammate, my best friend, and the person who has stood beside me through every dream, challenge, success, and setback. I truly would not be the man I am today without you.

What amazes me most is that despite everything you do for everyone else, you remain one of the kindest, most genuine people I know. You make people feel loved, valued, and welcome.

🖤❤️ Meeting another PKS family 🖤❤️

Last night was about Willow because we had the chance to meet another PKS family we have connected with through Facebook. It was such a joy spending a few hours together in their home. Their space was so welcoming and accessible, and Willow absolutely loved the living room setup.

Self-reflection is one of the hardest things a person can truly do. Not the surface-level kind and even not the quick scroll through your phone wondering where the time went. I mean the deep kind. The kind where you sit alone, in silence, and hold yourself accountable to the truth of where you are versus who you know you are capable of being.

That's where I've been.

The last 6 years have been a journey and it is one filled with lessons I didn't always ask for, seasons that tested my identity, and moments that forced me to look at myself differently. There were highs that reminded me what I was built for, and lows that made me question if I still had it. Through all of it, I kept moving, but somewhere along the way, I lost the edge. The hunger. The standard.

And recently, I decided to stop pretending that was okay.

I sat with the question that most people are afraid to ask themselves: Am I actually living at the level I know I'm capable of? The honest answer was no. Not yet. And that honesty, as uncomfortable as it was, became the foundation of something.

Out of that reflection came this:

"The man who played at the highest level, trained at the highest level, and built from nothing, he did not disappear. He has been waiting. Today he comes back. Because if better is possible, GOOD IS NOT ENOUGH."

Every single word of this is personal. It wasn't written to inspire anyone else. It was written as a declaration. A line in the sand. A reminder that the version of me who competed at the highest level, who outworked the room, who built things from the ground up with nothing but belief and relentless effort, well he never left. He was just waiting for me to find my way back.

The last 6 years gave me perspective. They gave me scars and wisdom in equal measure. And now I know exactly where I want to go, but more importantly exactly who I need to become to get there.

The standard doesn't negotiate. It doesn't lower itself to meet you where you are. You rise to meet it.
That's what today is. The beginning of A rising.

Huge congratulations to Rico on officially closing on his first home today! 🏡🔑🎉

This one feels extra rewarding because of the journey it took to get here. Over the past while, we toured multiple properties, explored different options, and went through a couple competitive multi-offer situations that didn’t go our way. Those moments can definitely be frustrating, especially in a fast-moving market, but instead of rushing into something just to “win,” we stayed patient, stuck to the plan, and approached every showing one at a time with the goal of finding the right home — not just any home.

That patience paid off, and today Rico officially gets the keys to a home that checks all the boxes we were looking for from the beginning. 👏

I also want to say how much I appreciated Rico’s trust and support throughout the entire process. Buying your first home is a huge milestone and there are a lot of moving parts along the way, so having great communication, trust, and teamwork makes all the difference. It was a pleasure helping guide this journey from start to finish.

This past week was one we will not forget. 🏒❤️

We had the incredible privilege of watching Tatum compete at the World Selects Invitational in Philadelphia, where he was going up against some of the best 2011 players in the world. Every single shift, he battled. He competed. He gave everything he had, and we could not have been prouder watching him out there. His team finished 2-3, but the growth and heart we saw from Tatum this week said so much more than any record ever could.

Not only did this trip involve the hockey tournament, but also while we were driving to Philadelphia, before the tournament even started, we had the opportunity to stop in Massachusetts to visit TSH Academy and tour their facilities in Attleboro.

And then came a moment that we are so happy to have all of us together for. 🥹

We are beyond proud that Tatum has officially committed to play hockey with TSH Academy next season in Massachusetts! 🎉🏒

What made this moment even more special was all of us being there to share it together. Having Megan and Willow there in person meant the world to Tatum, because there is times that they have not been able to be present for hockey trips. Willow is Tatum’s number one fan, and there is no one who cheers for him louder or loves him harder, so to have her by his side right there in that moment, to experience it together as a family, that is truly something we could not have scripted any better. These are the moments that matter most. ❤️

Tatum, we are so proud of the young man you are becoming every day. Keep pushing. Keep believing. Keep growing. Your dedication to becoming better every single day is something that amazes us more than words can ever express. We are proud of you beyond what any words could possibly say. This is just the beginning. 💙
