Fresh listings, fall weather, and another perfectly reasonable excuse to spend your Sunday walking through strangers’ houses.

September brought more options to Waterloo Region — which is good news if you like having choices and slightly less good news if you were hoping someone would just tell you which house to buy.

Some homes had room to negotiate. Others still had buyers competing for the keys. Because apparently the market enjoys keeping everyone on their toes.

Buying, selling, or trying to pull off the logistical masterpiece of doing both at the same time? The numbers only tell part of the story. What’s happening can look pretty different depending on the neighbourhood, price point and house.

Our 6th annual Pumpkins + Pies was our biggest yet — but somehow, it still felt like exactly what it’s always been about.

Catching up with past clients. Meeting new little ones. Seeing families grow. And spending an afternoon with so many of the people who have trusted and supported Flux over the years.

When we started this little local brokerage, we hoped to build something personal — where the relationship didn’t end when the keys were handed over. Looking around on Sunday was a pretty special reminder of what that has grown into.

A huge thank you to our agents who participated and helped make the day what it was, Busy Bees Parties and Juneyt for being part of the afternoon, McMullan’s on Highland for feeding a very big crowd, and Benjamin Tree Farm for being so incredibly accommodating.

And most importantly, thank you to every client, friend and family member who spent their Sunday with us.

This little brokerage doesn’t feel quite so little anymore.
