London New Home Sales Double
It’s been remarkable to witness the energy return to London’s new home market since the HST cut came into effect a few months ago. As someone who has worked closely with buyers and sellers in this city, I’ve seen first-hand how this change has made a real impact—new home sales have more than doubled, and there’s a noticeable buzz in southeast London subdivisions. Starting April 1, eligible buyers can save up to $130K on a new home, and the added peace of mind from builder warranties is making these properties even more attractive. Local industry feedback echoes what I’m seeing: the incentive has quickly shifted many from hesitating to taking action, which is also generating opportunity for builders, trades, and suppliers. The window for these savings is open for one year, through late Q1 2027—so there’s a clear, but limited, advantage for those considering a newly built home. As always, I’m focused on helping clients navigate these shifts and make the most of what London’s market has to offer.
