Would you keep it or take it out?

This is the original milk door in my house, and I love it. I love thinking about little features like this and how homes used to function.

It obviously doesn’t deliver milk anymore, so I’ve given it a new job - storage for keys, hats and mitts.

I have such a soft spot for original details in older homes. If something is well made, tells a bit of the home’s story and can still be useful, I’m definitely thinking twice before ripping it out.

This one isn’t going anywhere.

I have to share this place because I absolutely love their jewellery.

Maadrn Fine Jewels is designed right here in London and handcrafted in Canada, with unique pieces made in small quantities. They also customize and can even redesign jewellery you already own.

September saw 561 homes sold across the LSTAR region, which is up 5.3% from September last year and an increase from 526 sales in August. The average sale price also rose to $611,509, while inventory remained elevated at 5.9 months.

But here’s what I think is most important to know right now: the market isn’t behaving the same everywhere.

Some homes sell quickly, while others sit on the market much longer. A well-priced bungalow in one neighbourhood might get strong interest, while a townhouse or similar-priced home in another area could take considerably longer to sell.

That’s why the big overall market numbers only tell us so much. What really matters is what buyers are doing in your specific neighbourhood, price range and type of home.

If you’re thinking about selling, we need to look at what homes similar to yours are actually selling for, how long they’re taking to sell and how much competition you currently have. And if you’re buying, some parts of the market may give you much more negotiating power than others.
