⚖️ Sales-to-new-listings ratio: 44.5%

A “balanced” market is generally considered 45–65%

With interest rates holding steady and lots of inventory available, we could be heading into a busier fall market 🍂

Here’s the takeaway from the Bank of Canada’s latest Monetary Policy Report:

📈 The Canadian economy is expected to strengthen through the second half of 2026.

📉 Inflation is projected to continue easing and return to the Bank’s 2% target by early 2027.

🏡 Housing activity has remained slower due to affordability and economic uncertainty, but it’s beginning to stabilize, with modest growth expected over the coming years.

What does that mean for buyers and sellers?

It doesn’t mean the market will change overnight, but it does suggest we’re moving toward a more stable environment, with improving economic conditions and growing confidence.
