2025 — what a year.
Mike and I blended two families under one roof — two busy careers, six kids, and all the activities that come with that. Somewhere between schedules, practices, and life happening, we found our groove and figured out how to make each other’s lives easier.
Ella finished her first year of cheer and moved up to a competitive team. Abby nailed her back handsprings, round-off back tucks, and made a Level 2 team. Jakob put up 30–40 goals with the Colts and made a U11 B team. Zach started hockey and learned to ride a two-wheel bike. Jesse brought home bronze in ball hockey and started Grade 12. J-dynn graduated Grade 8 and began high school.
We squeezed in a Calgary May long getaway with the younger four, our first full family vacation to Minneapolis, welcomed a pet ferret (Frankie 🦦), took a couple of the kids to Warren Zeiders in Edmonton, Mexico for a 40th birthday, mother-daughter trip and packed the year with hunting, pool days, farm trips, Rider games, Pats games, volunteering, field trips, and time with friends.
Of course, every year has its challenges — despite what social media shows. My mom had surgery, and I was grateful to be able to step away to help while Mike held things down at home. My grandma was hospitalized, and we learned she has dementia and wouldn’t be able to return home. Divorce isn’t easy. Life has a way of revealing people’s true colours when things get hard. It’s easy to be kind when everything is smooth — but the people who show respect and kindness when you disagree and when life is heavy… those are the people I choose to surround myself with.
I’m often told I take on a lot and that life looks busy — and it is. But the truth is, when you surround yourself with the right support, you can do more than you ever thought possible.
Through all of this, I was able to help more clients with their real estate needs than ever before. Mike supports me at home, I have an incredible admin and colleagues who support me at work, and because of that, I can show up fully — for my kids and for my clients — and deliver the experience they deserve when buying and selling homes.
Grateful. Proud. Ready to take on even more in 2026. ✨
