New report suggests HST rebate continues to boost single-family new home sales across GTA
The recent surge in single-family home sales across the GTA is a development I’ve been monitoring closely. In July, sales of new single-family homes tripled to 781 units—a significant jump—thanks in large part to the ongoing impact of the HST rebate. At the same time, single-family prices dipped 8.5%, now averaging $1.36M. While condo sales saw a modest increase, they remain subdued, with average prices edging up 2.5% to $1.05M. Current inventory stands at 18,546 units. As someone deeply committed to helping clients navigate the evolving real estate landscape throughout the Greater Toronto Area, I understand how these shifts can create new opportunities for buyers and investors alike.
