3 mistakes buyers make before they even start house shopping
1. Not getting pre-approved
Looking at homes without a pre-approval is like test-driving cars without knowing your budget. It tells you what you can actually buy and makes sellers take you seriously.
2. Not planning for closing costs
The down payment isn’t the only expense. Legal fees, inspections, and other costs pop up fast. If you don’t plan for them, it can catch you off guard right at the finish line.
3. Waiting too long when the right house comes up
If the numbers work and the home checks the boxes, hesitation can cost you. Good homes don’t wait around, especially in a busy market.
Buying a home doesn’t have to be stressful — but preparation matters.
