Construction at The Keary in Brewery District continues to make significant progress.

In April, the project reached a major milestone with the completion of the building structure. With the tower now topped out, work has shifted to advancing the interior construction, and the tower crane is expected to come down in the coming weeks.

Residential window installation has reached Level 27, while office windows are now approximately 90% complete. Inside, framing is progressing through Level 21 as the building continues to take shape from the inside out.

As the final residential addition to Brewery District, The Keary will bring new homes to a well-established, transit-connected community, surrounded by retail, healthcare, and everyday amenities.

We’re proud to announce the completion of the River District Energy Community Energy Centre, an important milestone for both River District and the future of low-carbon community energy systems in Metro Vancouver.

As the first customer connected to Metro Vancouver’s waste-heat recovery system, River District Energy will receive heat captured by Metro Vancouver that would otherwise have been released into the atmosphere from their Waste-to-Energy Facility to provide low-carbon space heating and hot water to homes and businesses within River District.

The system is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 85%, supporting the long-term delivery of low-carbon energy to the growing community.

Designed to reflect the area’s industrial history, the building features a modern industrial aesthetic, exposed mass timber structure, and large windows that provide visibility into the building’s inner workings. The project also features an extensive green roof designed to improve views from surrounding residential buildings and increase habitat for local pollinator species, while the carefully considered roofline helps conceal building ventilation from street level.

This project reflects collaboration, expertise, and dedication from our teams, consultants, contractors, and partners. Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this important infrastructure to life.

This , we’re reinforcing what safety means at Wesgroup and why it matters.

As our teams and projects continue to grow, so does our responsibility to ensure safety is embedded in everything we do. The Wesgroup Safety Standard reflects that evolution, grounded in accountability, shaped by experience, and strengthened through leadership at every level.

This is not a campaign or a moment in time. It’s a commitment to how we operate every day, through the decisions we make, the conversations we have, and the way we look out for one another. Culture isn’t built through programs alone; it’s built through consistent actions and a shared responsibility to do the right thing.

Safety is also about the communities we’re building. From how we design and construct our projects to how they perform over time, we’re focused on creating places that are safe, resilient, and built with care for the people who will live there.

Everyone plays a role. Whether on site or in the office, safety is a shared responsibility, shaped by how we speak up, support one another, and take ownership in our day-to-day work.

At its core, it comes down to something simple: keeping people safe, both on our sites and in the communities we build.

Last week was , a dedicated time to give back to the communities where we live and work.

Throughout the week, our team came together to volunteer with a number of impactful organizations. We spent time at The Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary supporting cleanup and painting, worked alongside Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver on landscaping and build efforts, supported Dress for Success Vancouver by organizing, merchandising, and preparing donations, and partnered with Health Initiative for Men (HIM) to assemble health kits.

Each experience offered a meaningful way to connect, contribute, and support the diverse communities we’re proud to be part of.

As Wesgroup Cares Week continues to grow, we remain committed to creating opportunities for our team to give back and engage with causes that matter. These moments continue to be a highlight for our team, strengthening not only the communities around us, but the connections within them.

At Wesgroup, safety is our top priority. Today, we join workplaces across Canada in observing the National Day of Mourning, a day dedicated to remembering those who have lost their lives or suffered serious injury or illness due to workplace incidents.

The is not only a time of reflection, but also a call to action. Each year, workers in British Columbia lose their lives due to workplace injury or disease. These are not just statistics; they are reminders of why our commitment to safety must remain constant and unwavering.

Today, we take a moment to reflect, remember, and reaffirm our responsibility to protect the health and safety of everyone on our team. Honouring this day is part of our broader commitment to not only build communities, but to create safe, supportive environments for the people who bring them to life.

This , we’re reflecting on the steps we’re taking to reduce our environmental impact across our projects.

In 2025, we diverted approximately 1,800 tonnes of construction waste from the landfill, achieving a 77% diversion rate across our sites. Through partnerships like our work with Renewal Development, we’re also finding new ways to extend the life of materials, including relocating homes from our Inlet District site to support a more circular approach to housing.

We’ve also prioritized lower-carbon construction, using over 63,000 m³ of low carbon concrete between 2021 and 2025, resulting in an estimated 7,650 tonnes of CO₂e emissions reduced.

Progress like this is made possible through collaboration across our teams and partners, and it’s an important part of how we’re working to build more responsibly for the future.

We had a great time hosting our W16 x La Marzocco event.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, it was a thoughtfully curated morning of coffee, conversation, and design. Pairing expertly brewed espresso with the architecture of W16 by Olson Kundig, it offered a unique way to experience the space.

We’re grateful to our partner for helping bring the event to life.

Have you heard the news?

We’ve launched a new program at our recently completed project ACE on Commercial Drive called “Try Before You Buy.”

This program gives selected prospective buyers the opportunity to spend a weekend in one of our homes before deciding whether to purchase.

It may sound unconventional, but with so much to experience at ACE and along Commercial Drive, we wanted to give people the chance to truly get a feel for the home and the neighbourhood before making a decision.
