💗💜💙 Bisexual Visibility Day 💙💜💗

Today is a day to recognize and celebrate bisexual people and to raise awareness about the experiences of the bisexual community.

Being bisexual means a person can experience romantic and/or sexual attraction to more than one gender. Bisexuality can look different for everyone, and a person’s attraction does not need to be equal, 50/50, or stay the same throughout their life.

Bisexual people may also experience biphobia, including harmful stereotypes such as:
❌ “It’s just a phase.”
❌ “You’re actually gay/straight.”
❌ “You’re just confused.”
❌ “You have to date people of multiple genders to be bisexual.”

These stereotypes can make it harder for people to feel safe, accepted, and comfortable being themselves.

At SHYFT, we believe that everyone deserves to be respected, believed, and accepted for who they are. You don't need to prove your identity to anyone. 🏳️‍🌈

Free Store is TOMORROW, Wednesday September 9th at Evangel South, 171 Argyle Street, from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Bring a list of the groceries you need and we will do our best to fill it.

We will also have a selection of perishable food (milk, eggs, bread, meat, etc.) that will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
