Jerome and the team are making good progress over at our project in Bozeat, near Wellingborough, where we’re converting an old building into five one-bedroom homes.
The old single-pane metal Crittall-style windows are now being replaced with new double-glazed windows as we work our way through the next stage of the build.
There’s a fair bit of history behind this building, Arch Villa dates back to around 1870 and was once part of Northamptonshire’s world-famous boot and shoe industry. Historical records identify the site as a former shoe factory and offices, while local accounts link it to pioneering shoemaker John Drage, who played a part in Bozeat’s transition from an agricultural village into a thriving manufacturing community.
More than 150 years later, Arch Villa is changing again whilst honouring the past and creating homes for the future.
