🔍 THIS WEEK ON SITE

This week Tom visited one of the developments we manage on the Norfolk Broads to carry out a general inspection and assist with routine fire alarm testing while the site’s caretaker is on holiday.

Regular visits like these help ensure important systems continue to operate as expected and provide an opportunity to check on the overall condition of the development.

🔍 THIS WEEK ON SITE

This week Tom visited Old School House alongside a contractor to investigate concerns relating to damp and to gain a better understanding of the building’s pipework and services.

As a former school building that has since been converted into residential apartments, understanding how the building has been adapted over the years is an important part of ensuring any issues are investigated correctly and managed effectively.

Having recently taken over management of Old School House this year, we’re continuing to build a detailed understanding of the development and identify any opportunities to improve the service provided to residents.

🛠️ BEHIND THE BLOCK

This week Tom visited one of the developments we manage in a picturesque conservation area of Suffolk as part of a general site inspection and ongoing improvement works.

Following planning permission being granted, some overgrown vegetation has been cleared to make way for a future bin store. The project is being undertaken to help address issues with the existing bin storage area and create a cleaner, more practical solution for residents.

While the work may seem straightforward, improvements like these can make a real difference to the day-to-day running of a development and help support its long-term upkeep.

🔥 A Day on Site with Luke

Last week, Luke was visiting The Vista and Walsingham House, carrying out Fire Risk Assessments and inspecting key fire safety measures across both developments.

At East Block, we take fire safety seriously. That's why we have Luke, our fully qualified, accredited and insured Fire Safety Adviser and Risk Assessor, as part of the team. Having this expertise in-house helps us maintain a consistent approach, build a detailed understanding of the developments we manage, and support safer buildings for residents.

🧹 Another busy week for Lucy!

Travelling across the region, helping keep communal areas clean, tidy and welcoming for residents.
