Wallpaper. In a rental. And we absolutely love it!!! 👏

We often hear that rental properties can all start to look the same... grey, beige and dare we say it... a little bit boring.

So it’s rather lovely to come across a home that is completely the opposite.

With the help of an interior designer, this Dalry Colonies flat has been given so much thought and personality. The wallpaper choices in particular bring warmth and character to the rooms and make the whole place feel like a loved home, not just a rental property.

2 bedrooms or 3? 👀 This one had us debating!

When you only get one shot at a property listing, getting the bedroom count right matters.

This beautiful unfurnished flat in Comely Bank could genuinely work brilliantly either way.

We’ve advertised it as a 3 bedroom because we know that many families in the area use the living room as their main bedroom, with the other two rooms for the children.

But imagine it as a 2 bedroom instead… and suddenly you have a gorgeous living room and a dining room which could work as a beautiful home office too!

And whichever way you look at it, you get a fantastic flat in a brilliant part of Edinburgh.

So we want to know:

You know how we adore a property show? Well the new BBC series of A House through Time is brilliant!!

We look after so many older properties in the city and have always felt that whether you are an owner or a tenant, you are part of that building's story (and it is part of yours). Highly, highly recommend this as a watch 🤩

Oof, it's amazing how much rubbish accumulates in a 5 bed student flat! We've just taken this one on and 4 hours later, the pile is almost ready for the man with a van. All this stuff is now in the hall plus in a deep walk in cupboard 🙈 - almost none visible when we walked in...

Going forward, this will feel so much easier!

The letting market has been crazy recently - a lot of students moving at the end of May/start of June and so many properties are renting on their first viewings. It's keeping us VERY busy!!

Spring cleaning thought for the day 😎

As we hopefully see the sun more and more, it's a great time of the year to think about cleaning windows.
