Taking the air for a new showhome opening ✈️
Ashberry Homes marked the opening of a new show home on the Trident Way development in Brough, by tipping a wing to the site’s aeronautical heritage.
The Blenheim Avenue development is being built on the former site of the Brough Aerodrome and, more recently, a BAE manufacturing facility; and so the national homebuilder gave locals and would-be buyers the chance to notch up some air miles with an afternoon of paper and toy plane fun and games.
Melanie Smith, Asberry Homes’ Yorkshire sales director, said: “For many years planes took off and landed daily from the Brough Aerodrome and we wanted to celebrate this heritage during the new show home launch.”
Ashberry’s aeronautical afternoon incorporated a paper plane competition, which was won by Rebekah Green – a recent buyer on the development –, who threw her self-made paper plane, 19 feet. The feat saw her rewarded with a voucher for a glider session at Rufforth Airfield, near York.
Trident Way is Ashberry Homes fourth development in Yorkshire and when complete will comprise 166-homes. It features a mix of two-, three-, four- and five- bedroom detached and semi-detached homes; all of which feature EV chargers and solar panels and come with either designated parking, driveways or garages.
