Election year, and I've had a few people ask what that usually means for the market.
Looked back at the last four election cycles on the North Shore and in Rodney. In the three months either side of each election, sales have averaged 3,353. Outside of election periods, over the same window, it's 2,848. That's 505 more sales, around 17.7% higher.
Makes sense when you think about it. Once the uncertainty settles, buyers and sellers get moving again. Add spring into the mix this year and it's usually a solid run through to summer.
If you're weighing up buying or selling and want to talk through what that could mean for you, happy to help.
