When you know you’ve arrived.

The Crown Range connects Queenstown and Wānaka by way of Cardrona, winding through one of the most spectacular alpine landscapes in the country.

For those coming to Mt Cardrona Station, it’s a fitting introduction to this part of the world. Winding your way through the hills, taking in the big views, and the feeling of leaving the rush behind as you make your way into the valley.

It’s certainly a special road to call your way home.

A new way to call Mt Cardrona Station home.

The Chalet is our newest house and land package, priced from $1.25M.*

Designed as a refined alpine base, this three-bedroom home brings together intelligent planning, generous volume, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

At its heart is a double-height north-facing living space, with floor-to-ceiling glazing that draws in light and frames the mountain views beyond.

It’s efficient without feeling small. Luxurious without feeling excessive. A home designed for less maintenance, more time outside, and the kind of alpine lifestyle that keeps people coming back.

Whether it’s a weekend on the slopes, time with friends, or family holidays that become traditions, The Chalet offers a beautifully resolved way to be part of Mt Cardrona Station.

A lovely bit of recognition for the details that help make The Homestead feel so considered.

The wayfinding and navigation system at Mt Cardrona Station Homestead has been awarded Silver at the New Zealand Sign Display Awards, recognising the work of Signtech the Signmasters (signtech_nz).

From external plinth signage to internal directional details, each element was designed to sit naturally within the architecture, materials and landscape of The Homestead.

Quiet, considered, and deeply connected to the space around it.

A beautiful recognition of the details that help make The Homestead feel so refined, intuitive and welcoming.

Mt Cardrona Station sits in that rare position between some of the region’s most loved places.

Wānaka for the lake, food, and easy pace. Arrowtown for charm, history, and long lunches. Queenstown for energy, access, and global appeal. Cardrona for snow, trails, landscape, and that unmistakable valley feeling.

From here, it all feels close.

But when you come back to the station, the pace changes. More space. More quiet. More room to connect to the place.

A very special balance.

Good design doesn’t need to shout.

Designed by Leuschke Group Architects, The Homestead has been named a finalist in Home Of Architecture Interior of the Year 2026.

Natural textures. Warm interiors. Expansive views. Spaces that feel refined, but grounded.

The Homestead at Mt Cardrona Station draws from the utilitarian architecture of Cardrona Valley’s early farming and mining settlements, reinterpreted through contemporary detailing and a distinctly alpine lens.

A beautiful recognition of a space designed with quiet confidence, and a deep connection to place.

Winter sits pretty nicely around here.

Just across the valley is Snow Farm, New Zealand’s only cross-country ski field. Up the road is Cardrona Alpine Resort, now New Zealand’s largest commercial ski area.

Two very different ways to enjoy the snow, both incredibly close to Mt Cardrona Station.

Whether it’s a quiet morning on Nordic trails, a full day at Cardrona, or simply that feeling of being tucked right into the heart of the mountains, this location has a way of making winter feel very easy to love.

For those who love winter in the mountains, it’s hard to imagine a better base.
