The things you’ll never find in a LIM or builders report…

At an inspection today I discovered this vintage poster tucked away in the garden shed. It features Thurston the Great Magician, one of the most famous illusionists of the early 20th century. 🎩✨

A standard report tells you about the foundations, the roof, and the plumbing, but it can never capture the soul of the home.

The family who built this property raised four kids here, and the dad was a practicing magician. Seeing this poster makes you wonder if Thurston himself was the spark that inspired a lifetime of magic right here inside these walls.

Bricks and mortar make a building, but it's the stories, the history, and the people who live there that truly make it a home. 🏠❤️

Sundays are usually for open homes, but this weekend, I traded the signboards for some quality time with my favourite people.
🤍With my kids spread out across different ages and locations, getting everyone together under one roof is a rare treat. Add in two birthdays this week, and we had the perfect excuse to switch off and head away for a couple of nights.
Our weekend looked a lot like this:
🥶 Freezing cold spring swims
🕰️ Hunting for treasures in local antique stores
🍔 A classic family BBQ and games
🛋️ Lots of well-deserved, uninterrupted relaxing

The simple things in life truly are the best. Back to the hustle tomorrow, but my cup is completely full! 🥰
