And we’re closed!

I met Lisa a few years ago when she was just thinking of house hunting for a new home for her growing family. The timing wasn’t right and then she had a beautiful baby girl and that little girl was way more important. We looked at a few homes (while I got to snuggle with baby 🥰), but it still wasn’t right.
Fast forward to now, she has another baby (more snuggles for me!) and we’ve been undergoing their new adventure of growing a family while building a house.

The hardest part—as a realtor—about closing day is realizing you’re going to be spending a lot less time with people with whom you’ve become friends and care about. I adore Zach & Teague and their two littles. And while I’m sad to not see them as much, I am so dang excited for their new adventure in their new home. 👏🏻👏🏻

My good friend Kathleen Hucks and I went out to support Saline Township today at a pop up protest against Oracle’s data center, against their bribery donations to the City of Saline, and Related Digital’s (the developer) proposed permits for wastewater which would absolutely lower the water quality, not just for Saline Twp residents, but everyone downstream of the Saline River to River Raisin which means Milan and Dundee and far further.

This is your reminder: WE DO NOT NEED AI. WE NEED CLEAN WATER.

It is unacceptable to knowingly lower water quality for humans to support a data center that no one wants or needs. If you would like - and please do - EGLE is accepting public comments until the end of August. Also so happy to have met Dr. Abdul El-Sayed who held a press conference and spoke so eloquently and thoroughly (like always) before coming to meet us protesters. I’ve already voted for him and I really hope he becomes our next Senator of Michigan. Get money out of politics, get money in our pockets, Medicare for all.

Yousef Rabhi, although not pictured, who is running for Ann Arbor Mayor, was also there in support. Thank you to these two excellent leaders and to honkfordemocracy for setting up the protest, and to everyone who showed up to make their voices heard!
