He’s a super nice kid with a great outlook on life!
Meet the first of this year's Honored Heroes...Jaxon!
At just 2 1/2 years old, Jaxon had terrible bruising and bleeding gums. He was referred to St. Louis Children’s Hospital for blood work, and on July 8, 2013, he was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Over the next 3 years, he was in and out of the hospital, and on September 28, 2016, he completed his treatment and rang the bell of remission.
He continued with routine check-ups, but on April 24, 2018, his labs came back abnormal. The results of a bone marrow biopsy confirmed that Jaxon had relapsed. He is now undergoing chemotherapy and started CAR-T immunotherapy in early July.
Jaxon loves spending time with his family and friends, playing baseball, coloring, playing video games, and listening to music.
