If there were an award for fully committing to being a tourist in Maine, I think I nailed it. ✨

An Acadia hat, a Bar Harbor tote, ALL the blueberry treats I could find, a lobster roll for lunch, downtown shopping, a photo by the fountain, and a full Acadia National Park adventure, including Sand Beach and Thunder Hole. The only things I missed were the famous Jordan Pond popovers, Cadillac Mountain, and a slice of blueberry pie… Guess I’ll just have to come back next summer. ❤️

To be honest, sometimes I just don’t know.

I don’t know what the market is going to do next. I don’t know where interest rates will be six months from now. I don’t know what the economy will look like next year. And I definitely don’t know why they keep making Fast & Furious sequels. 😂

But I do know that people will always need a place to live. Real estate will always be valuable.

A grande latte at Starbucks costs $5.85. Meanwhile, the median price of a home in the United States is around four hundred thousand dollars right now. That means if you skipped one coffee per day, you could save up enough cash to buy your dream house in....just over 187 years.

This is why I think it's pretty dumb advice to tell people to skip out on simple luxuries to save for a house. The math just doesn't add up.

It's better to focus on the BIG things in your budget (car payment, always paying your credit card, student loans) than to worry too much about buying a coffee.

Sometimes the little things in life are what keep us sane, so we can have the discipline to make responsible decisions on the big things!

At the end of May, I made a commitment to myself to walk 10,000 steps every day. For me, that means walking about four miles a day.

Since I started, I've stayed pretty consistent. I only missed three or four days in all of June. Then in July, I challenged myself even more by completing a 100-mile challenge. Somewhere along the way, those walks started turning into runs. At first, I'd run as far as I could and then walk the rest.

Now, I'm working toward my goal of running my first 5K. The part I'm most proud of is how much progress I've made in just two months. When I started, it took me about 14 minutes to run a mile. Now, I can run a mile in 9 minutes and 30 seconds. I've learned that progress doesn't happen overnight.

It comes from showing up, staying consistent, and taking one step at a time. If you're thinking about starting something, this is your reminder that small, consistent efforts really do add up.
