Apparently this is what I consider fun 😂

Lifting, running, trying new gyms… one thing about me, I’m going to find a way to get a workout in wherever I am.

And Bali has definitely given me some pretty good places to do it. 💪🏽🇮🇩

If you’re looking for a wellness retreat in Bali, Gdas Health and Wellness Resort is literally set up perfectly for it 🌿✨

The surroundings are beautiful, the energy is peaceful, and we met some of the kindest people with genuinely beautiful spirits while we were there.

They really have the whole nine when it comes to wellness. Multiple pools, daily yoga classes including hot yoga, saunas, cold plunges, beautiful spaces to relax, and even a quiet working room for those of us who still have to get some work done. 🧘🏽‍♀️💻

Our stay also included complimentary breakfast, and I pretty much ordered a smoothie bowl every morning. The resort is fully plant-based, and listen… I didn’t even know vegan butter could be that good 😂 The food was delicious, the lattes were really good, and everything fit perfectly with the wellness vibe.

I even had my first cryotherapy experience with Russell Simmons and his friend Arne, which was definitely a Bali memory I wasn’t expecting. ❄️

Saturday was our last day, and on our way out, we got one good turn-up in before we left 😂🔥 And who knew Uncle Rush Russell Simmons/Gdas could throw a party like THAT?! 😂 Definitely a perfect ending to such a peaceful stay.

Between the wellness, healthy food, beautiful grounds, workspace, and all the memories with Alicia N Hayden, GDAS gave us a little bit of everything.

Definitely save this one for your Bali list if you want to slow down, eat well, move your body, reset, and enjoy Ubud. 🌴

I’m starting to think this hotel looks good on me 😂✨

A few favorites from my stay at Gdas Health and Wellness Resort in Ubud. The entire property is absolutely beautiful, from the lush greenery and rice paddy views to all the little luxury details. 🌿

Definitely one of those places where every corner feels like a photo op.

Maybe I don’t hate vegetables… maybe I just needed Bali to season them properly. 😂

Had to make a second trip to Grön Espresso Bar & Kitchen, and this time I went for dinner. I grabbed the perfect outdoor seat right by the entrance and ordered the Garlic Butter Grilled Slipper Lobster and the Gnocchetti Sardi with roasted bone marrow.

First time trying bone marrow: surprisingly rich and flavorful. But those perfectly seasoned vegetables?? Bali has me voluntarily eating my greens and I don’t know who I am anymore. 😂

The presentation was stunning, the atmosphere was a vibe, and clearly Grön was worth a second visit.

Save this one for your Canggu food list. 🌴

My 3-hour wash day that keeps me styled for 7–21 days 👀

1. Section hair into 4 large sections.
2. Detangle with warm water + conditioner or pre-poo. Finger detangle FIRST, then use your detangling brush. Twist each section when done.
3. Shampoo. I’m currently using OLAPLEX - I clarify first if I have buildup or it’s been more than about a week, then follow with a hydrating shampoo.
4. Deep condition with SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Treatment Masque. I use this instead of regular conditioner.

I apply it counterclockwise: back right → back left → top left → top right, so the back-right section gets the longest processing time.

5. Rinse one section at a time, saturate with water, then apply 𝑎𝑠 𝑖 𝑎𝑚 Coconut Leave-In Conditioner to soaking-wet hair. Brush it through, bantu-knot or twist, and clip it back up. I usually end up with about 8 sections.
6. Before leaving the shower, PUT THE SHOWER CAP ON. Keep the rest of your hair covered while styling and only pull out the section you’re working on.
7. Style with gel. I use michel. I put the gel in my gloved hand, spray warm water into it, rub my hands together to warm/emulsify it, then apply to soaking-wet hair. This is a major part of my routine.

Brush, finger-rake, or use the praying-hands method to define.

8. DO NOT manipulate your curls until they are 100% dry. Air dry, diffuse, or use a hooded dryer.

⏰ TIME-SAVING HACK:
After applying leave-in in the shower, brush a little gel into each section before clipping it back up. You can still redefine it when you get out, but this can cut about an hour off the process.

⚠️ Trade-off: my style usually doesn’t last quite as long this way.

My forever staples:
🤎 𝑎𝑠 𝑖 𝑎𝑚 leave-in
🤎 michel gel
🤎 SheaMoisture treatment masque

SAVE this for wash day 😂

Want Part 2 showing how I sleep on it and preserve it for 1–3 weeks?

Friend to friend: building a business that fits your life is the goal.

For me, that looks like being able to run my Atlanta real estate business from Bali without everything falling apart the second I leave the city.

The biggest shift was building systems before I needed the freedom:

• Clear roles on my team so every task doesn’t come back to me
• A CRM and follow-up process so leads don’t get lost
• Checklists and repeatable workflows for listings, contracts, and client communication
• Weekly accountability so everyone knows what needs to move
• Strong partners on the ground who can handle what physically requires someone in Atlanta
• Time blocked for revenue-producing work instead of being “available” all day
• Documented processes so the business isn’t living only in my head
• AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude to help me move faster with writing, planning, organizing, follow-up, content, and problem-solving

The goal was never to work less just for the sake of working less.

The goal was to build something that can still perform when I’m at a showing, on a plane, at dinner, or halfway across the world.

If your business can only run when you’re touching every single thing, you don’t have freedom yet. You have a job with extra responsibilities. 😅

Start here: pick ONE task you repeat every week and create a system for it. Write the steps down, automate what you can, use AI where it makes sense, and decide who else could eventually own it.

That’s how you start building a business that actually fits your life. 🔥

P.S. How are you using ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI tools in your business right now? Drop your best use case below — I’m always looking for smarter systems.
