2025: A Year of Renewed Energy

The Austin housing market has been slow and challenging for the past two-plus years. Many of us experienced an unprecedented boom during the COVID years, when interest rates dropped to record lows and prices surged to historic highs. Since 2023, however, both prices and sales activity have steadily declined—impacting buyers, sellers, and Realtors alike.

For me, 2024 was a year centered on personal priorities. It was filled with travel for graduations, helping my girls relocate to new cities for work and higher education, and navigating a noticeably slower housing market shaped by rising interest rates.

In contrast, 2025 brought renewed professional energy and momentum. Several of my downtown condo listings—properties that had been particularly challenging to sell—closed successfully, one after another. Statistically, only about 35% of downtown condos sold in 2025, and I’m deeply grateful that my listings were part of that group.

As I look back on 2025, I do so with gratitude and a strong sense of accomplishment. And as I look ahead to 2026, I welcome new challenges—both personal and professional—with optimism.

New construction home in a lovely community like Travisso has definitely been a great experience so far. From pouring the foundation to seeing the house getting built over several months requires patience and constant interaction with the builder. It’s an amazing feeling when clients become friends — and even more so when you get to witness them grow through the different phases of life.
I’m currently working on a transaction with a client I first met over 10 years ago at an Open House. I'm thrilled to announce the successful closing of this beautiful downtown Austin condominium!

In one of the toughest markets we’ve seen in downtown Austin with over 14 months of inventory and no sales of similar condos in 18 months in all of downtown —this sale stands out as a true milestone.

Also worth noting: this is one of only two condos priced over $1M to sell in the same building in the past three years. Eleven other $1M+ condos in the building were withdrawn or expired without success.
