A federal judge just ordered Chicagoland listings back onto Zillow after the recent dispute between Zillow and MRED.

But here’s the bigger takeaway for buyers: This entire situation showed just how complicated online home search has become.

The biggest misconception buyers have is thinking one platform shows them everything the exact same way at the exact same time. That simply isn’t today’s market anymore. 👀

There’s a major shift happening right now between Zillow and Illinois MLS systems, which means some listings may not be showing up the way buyers are used to seeing them.

For buyers who like to browse privately and keep their search low-pressure, Zenlist is becoming one of the best tools out there. 🏡
Because it connects directly to the MLS, it gives you a more complete look at what’s actually available — including Private Listing Network (PLN) and Coming Soon homes that may not appear on public sites right away.
