Leadership Spotlight | Tim Dickerson, Director of Development

At Pahlisch Commercial, development is where vision meets reality. It is a complex, demanding process that requires someone who can see the full picture from land to lease-up and lead with both precision and purpose. For us, that person is Tim Dickerson.

Tim brings over 30 years of real estate experience to Pahlisch Commercial, spanning development, construction, asset management, and corporate real estate across multifamily, office, medical, retail, and industrial asset classes. Before joining our team, he served as Vice President of Development and Construction at Goodman Real Estate, where he oversaw the development of 35 assets, delivered more than 7,400 multifamily units, and managed a portfolio valued at over $1.3 billion. That kind of track record does not happen by accident. It takes discipline, vision, and the ability to build and lead teams that execute at the highest level.

Today, Tim leads Pahlisch Commercial's development team from conception through permitting and into construction, keeping projects on schedule, on budget, and aligned with our standards every step of the way. He works across acquisition, design, entitlement, and lease-up, making sure the right people are in the right seats and that Pahlisch Commercial's interests are always the priority.

Outside the Office | When Tim steps away from the office, you will find him spending time with his family, cheering on his Seattle teams, or exploring somewhere new. He is the kind of person who brings the same curiosity and energy to life outside of work that he brings to every project, and we are glad to have him on the team.

Leadership Spotlight | Douglas Sabari, Director of Construction

At Pahlisch Commercial, how we build is a reflection of who we are. Douglas Sabari, our Director of Construction, takes that seriously every single day.

Douglas came to Pahlisch Commercial as a Senior Project Manager and earned his way into an Operations Manager role before stepping into his current position as Director of Construction. That progression says a lot about who he is. With 25 years of experience spanning multifamily, mixed-use, mid-rise, and commercial construction, he arrived with a depth of knowledge that is hard to teach and a track record that speaks for itself. From managing on-site workforces of over 100 people to overseeing complex ground-up projects across multiple markets, Douglas has done the work at every level and knows what it takes to execute at a high standard.

Today, Douglas leads Pahlisch Commercial's Construction Department with a focus on excellence, accountability, and finding better ways to get things done. He is known for bringing innovative solutions to the table that genuinely support our construction teams in the field, the kind of thinking that keeps projects moving, budgets intact, and teams performing at their best. He coordinates across development, preconstruction, and operations to ensure that every project is set up for success from the ground up.

Outside the Office | When Douglas is not overseeing projects, you will find him spending time with his family and cheering on his Seattle teams: Seahawks, Mariners, and Kraken. Douglas is the kind of person who knows how to work hard and enjoy life in equal measure, and we are lucky to have him on the team.

Leadership Spotlight | Destin Ferdun, Director of Affordable Housing Development

At Pahlisch Commercial, we believe that housing done right can change lives. Bringing that belief into the affordable housing space takes not only expertise, but a deep and genuine commitment to the communities being served. This month, we are proud to shine the spotlight on Destin Ferdun, our Director of Affordable Housing Development.

Destin brings 35 years of experience to Pahlisch Commercial. He spent 15 years as an architect before making a purposeful transition into affordable and special needs housing development. For the past 20 years he has served in lead developer roles, navigating complex financing structures including LIHTC, NMTC, State Bonds, and a wide range of public grant and loan programs. Most recently, at Northwest Housing Alternatives, he led a team of seven that completed 1,845 units across 26 projects in 15 counties in just five years. That is not just impressive output, that is real impact for real families.

Destin has built meaningful partnerships with cities, counties, housing authorities, and culturally-specific organizations across the region, and brings rare fluency across architecture, zoning, green building, and public-private partnership structuring. At Pahlisch Commercial, he leads our affordable and attainable housing efforts and serves as our go-to leader for all things AI, always staying ahead of the latest developments and bringing the team along with him.

Outside the Office | Good friends and family are Destin's driver. He is also a genuine science enthusiast with a passion for astronomy, quantum physics, and paleontology. He will be the first to tell you that quantum physics and AI have a way of producing some truly mind-bending moments. His weekend deep-dives into the latest technology are not slowing down anytime soon, and we are all better for it.

Lydia brings over 15 years of multifamily asset management experience to Pahlisch Commercial, and that depth shows in everything she does. Before joining the team, she served as Oregon Regional Director at Thrive Communities, overseeing a portfolio of more than 30 properties across Oregon and Washington and leading a team of Regional Managers through market changes, new market expansions, and the kind of day-to-day complexity that only a seasoned operator knows how to navigate. Her track record speaks for itself: she has turned struggling assets into cash-flowing ones, driven award-winning renovations, and built the kind of team cultures that people genuinely want to be a part of.

Today, Lydia leads our Asset Management team with the same focus and ownership mindset she has carried throughout her career. She oversees portfolio performance and profitability, partners with property management teams to drive results, and ensures that every asset under Pahlisch Commercial's umbrella is operating at its best. She is the kind of leader who thinks like an owner, holds a high bar, and never loses sight of the people and communities behind the numbers.

Outside the Office | When Lydia is not managing a portfolio, you will find her out on the river or deep into an outdoor adventure with her husband and dogs by her side. She has a true passion for fly fishing, and there is nothing quite like the thrill of discovering a new fishing hole when the opportunity presents itself. That same patience, focus, and love for the outdoors that makes a great angler? It turns out it also makes a pretty exceptional asset manager.

Ryan came to Pahlisch Commercial with a deep background in investment analysis and operations, bringing years of high-stakes financial decision-making experience that he now puts to work every day for our team.

Today, Ryan leads our Finance and Accounting teams with a clear and purposeful focus. He is guiding the team to be intentional and diligent in every spending decision, maintaining Pahlisch Commercial's budget with care, and finding creative ways to stretch resources further without ever losing sight of what those resources are here to build. Hard working and dedicated by nature, Ryan models a diligent work ethic and is genuinely eager to share his insights with others. He has a true passion for learning and continuously perfecting his knowledge and skills in Finance, and that energy is contagious. He is approachable and accessible, always willing to sit down and talk through a challenge, making him a trusted resource across the organization.

That kind of financial stewardship and people-first mindset does not always make headlines, but it makes everything else possible.

Outside the Office | If you want to get Ryan talking, bring up the markets or the Cougs. A proud Washington State University alumnus, Ryan bleeds crimson and gray. His passion for investing and tracking market movements does not stop when the workday ends, and he stays sharp by keeping a close eye on world events, political developments, and the latest in business news. The kind of curiosity that keeps him ahead of the curve both inside and outside of work. Honestly, it is hard to tell where the professional ends and the passion begins, and that is exactly what makes him so good at what he does.

Kicking off our Leadership Spotlight Series with our Director of People Operations, Christina Pollack.

At Pahlisch Commercial, great culture starts at the top. Our senior leaders set the tone for how we show up for each other and for the communities we build, and Christina has been one of the most important voices in shaping what ours looks like today. We are excited to introduce the people behind the vision, and there is no better place to start.

With 12+ years of Human Resources experience spanning manufacturing, hospitality, and construction, Christina has built a career on one simple belief: when people thrive, companies do too. She joined Pahlisch Commercial 4.5 years ago and has been a steady hand through every high and every pivot since.

Leading through growth is one thing. Leading through change takes something more. Christina has been that constant for Pahlisch Commercial, helping the organization find its footing through every chapter of what building a company really looks like while always keeping the employee experience and company culture at the center of every decision.

Today she oversees a broad portfolio including Human Resources, marketing, IT, project controls, and safety, approaching all of it with the lighthearted, people-first energy that has become her signature and empowering her team to always ask: how do we make this an even better place for the people who show up every day?

Outside the Office | If you know Christina, you know her ability to bring people together does not stop when the workday ends. Her greatest adventure right now is being a mom to her one-year-old, and watching him grow has been nothing short of amazing. Whether she is planning a company event or a get-together for family and friends, she has no problem putting something fun on the calendar. Travel is always on the agenda when life allows, and a wine tasting date? Never a hard sell. Ever.

Today, we’re shining the on Josh Hackett, one of Pahlisch Commercial’s Project Managers.

Currently serving as one of our Superintendents on our 12th & Main project in Vancouver, WA, Josh plays a critical role in driving day to day construction progress, with focused oversight on exterior envelope, WRB, and facade coordination. From managing subcontractor sequencing to partnering closely with envelope consultants to ensure quality standards and specifications are met, he keeps this critical phase of the project running efficiently and aligned with expectations.

Josh brings a strong skillset in people management, paired with a composed, solutions focused approach. His leadership, teamwork, and diligence are well respected across our construction team and trade partners, making him a trusted presence in the field.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys skiing, staying active, and cheering on his hometown teams from Nebraska.

Josh’s impact is felt not only in the progress of our projects, but in the strength of our team. Hard hats off to Josh.
