🌩️ Severe Weather Expected 🌩️

The forecast is calling for the possibility of severe weather in the Champaign area.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

✅ Bring in or secure outdoor furniture, decorations, and other loose items.
✅ Charge cell phones and electronic devices in case of power outages.
✅ Keep flashlights, batteries, water, and essential medications easily accessible.
✅ If a shelter location is needed, move to the lowest floor possible and stay away from all windows. Interior rooms such as a first-floor laundry room, hallway, bathroom, or other windowless area are typically the safest options.
✅ Monitor local weather forecasts and emergency alerts for the latest updates.

The Champaign-Urbana Active Transportation Plan Round 2 Survey is open at ccrpc.org/cu-atp until Wednesday, May 13, 2026!

Public Involvement Round 1 in Fall 2025 garnered over 700 survey responses and over 200 interactive map comments! RPC staff identified the most popular themes, and would like your help to prioritize themes. You can also submit a photo of your favorite place to walk, bike, or roll, and tell us why you like it! 📸🚶🏼🚴🏼🧑🏼‍🦽

Bike for Earth Day is back, with four stations set up across Champaign-Urbana from 4–7 PM. Swing by with your bike to get free lights installed, grab a t-shirt, and pick up some other bike-related freebies — all first-come, first-served while supplies last. No registration required.

But, refer someone who signs a lease at State Street Flats, Prairie Townhomes, or Alley Lofts, and you'll earn $300 instead! Refer 3 or more and get an extra $100 each.

Refer someone to any other R+B property, and you'll still get the standard $100 credit.

Just make sure your name is listed at the time of application or lease signing. Referrals can't be added after the lease is signed.
