There’s this weird season of life where you can be sitting on the beach with your family, genuinely soaking in the moment… and then your phone rings with a client who needs you.

You’re watching your kids play in the water, but you’re also negotiating deal terms and answering, “Hey, is this a good time to chat?” when it’s absolutely not a good time to chat.

I’m not complaining…I’m grateful. Grateful that my job lets me take my family places I used to only put dream of or actually not even dream of because I never thought this big.

Grateful that my clients trust me enough to call, even when they know I’m technically “out of office.” Grateful that my kids get to see firsthand that taking care of people is a big part of what Dad does.

But I’m also learning to put the phone down, shut the laptop, and be fully there for the cannonballs, the sticky ice cream hands, and the late-night laughs. The emails will still be there in 30 minutes. The memories… not so much.

So when you see me on my phone or laptop in these photos, just know: I’m probably answering a text, writing an offer, or solving a small fire. But the whole reason I’m doing it is standing right next to me in my other pics on .
