GETTING TO KNOW SHANNON
Shannon called charming Old Town home for 29+ years, and believes in giving back to the community. She volunteered on the Old Town Neighborhood Improvement Committee for years and is affectionately referred to throughout the neighborhood as "The Brick Chick" for her work to create the Old Town Triangle Association Brick Repair, Replacement and Beautification Program. She was a 10+ year member of the Leadership Circle for The American Cancer Society, and a committed board member of Thodos Dance Chicago. A passionate supporter of Chicago’s cultural institutions and the arts -- dance, theatre, music and opera -- Shannon danced professionally with The Chicago Repertory Dance Ensemble and Jan Erkert & Dancers Chicago, amongst other esteemed choreographers. Earlier in her career Shannon was a top Sales Executive with CBS & Westwood One. She also helped create the His Way Theatre at NBC Tower –- a live theatre located inside one of NBC’s working TV studios, recognized as “Chicago’s Ultimate Entertainment Experience.”
