🚨 Chicago officially won the internet this week. 😂

One fake sign. One luxury grocery store. One city that completely lost its mind.

When someone swapped the future Logan Square Trader Joe’s sign to read “Erewhon Coming Soon,” the internet did exactly what you’d expect—memes, debates, outrage, and plenty of jokes about $30 smoothies and overpriced organic everything.

The best part? It was all a prank by two local comedians... and even Alderman Daniel La Spata had a laugh while confirming that Trader Joe’s is still the one opening in Logan Square.

I have to admit... this is one of the funniest Chicago moments I’ve seen in a long time. 😂

Make $1,000 Feel Like $10,000

If you had $1,000 to invest in your home… where does it actually make a difference?

Paul and I go back and forth on this one (with some strong opinions 😂), but the takeaway is simple: start with lighting. It’s one of the few updates that instantly changes how a space looks and feels—no renovation required. Think pendants, semi-flush mounts, even reworking outdated fixtures… it’s a small move with a big visual return.

And yes… we had to call it out 👀
Pedestal sinks might look charming, but when your storage solution is a basket of toilet paper on the floor… we’ve got a problem.

The goal here isn’t to overspend—it’s to spend intentionally. A thoughtful $1,000 can completely shift how your home lives day to day and how it’s perceived.
